EADA is the first business school in Barcelona, founded in 1957 by a group of entrepreneurs and professionals as an ideologically and financially independent institution. Since 1984, we have been a non-profit private foundation dedicated to education, applied research and the transfer of knowledge to business and society at an international level. Our institution is founded on the values of effort, commitment and work well done. Our mission is to contribute to a fairer, more balanced and sustainable society.

EADA Business School strengthens its position among the most outstanding educational institutions in the world by remaining in the group of the top twenty business schools, according to the latest Executive Education 2024 ranking published by the Financial Times today. With the sixteenth position in the ranking, EADA consolidates its privileged position within this highly competitive classification. Under the heading of «Sustaining Leadership 2020» and covering the period 2019-2023, the former Strategic Plan of our institution was conceived in a pre-pandemic context in which EADA had already decided to make sustainability a central element of its programme portfolio and commit to a strategy of promoting sustainable leadership for our participants, alumni, client companies and organisations that encompasses human sustainability, society, the environment, the economy, ethics and equal opportunities.

The strength of this commitment and the plan it was based on was reflected in the institution’s resilience as it successfully navigated through the crises and challenges of 2020-2022, while at the same time increasing its commitment to sustainability (with more sustainability programmes and research) and by successfully opening and strengthening new lines of business to boost the financial sustainability of our institution.

Our alliances with organisations such as Ashoka, Youth Talks and Barcelona+B (a shared initiative between B Lab, Ferrer, Barcelona Activa and EADA to improve the social and environmental impact of companies and citizens in Barcelona) clearly demonstrate this commitment and reaffirm our long-standing pledge to the UN Global Compact. EADA’s focus on sustainability in our training programmes has also received international recognition from the Positive Impact Rating and the annual Corporate Knights ‘MBA Better World Ranking’; our MBA programme is included in the top 20 worldwide and leads the ranking in Spain due to its integration of sustainable development, research in the field of sustainability and the gender and ethnic diversity of its faculty.

Another essential element of our strategy is the recently created Sustainability Hub, where our growing academic team design and carry out research projects on the role of companies and their stakeholders in the face of the climate emergency and social challenges. This research is transferred to EADA’s programmes so that participants can integrate sustainability in any area of a company and adopt a model of sustainable and purposeful leadership. This is how EADA transforms and drives research in business sustainability towards achieving real impact through its various multiplier agents: current participants, former students, faculty members and strategic partners.

Today, we are very clear about the need to accelerate towards positive impact and this is what we are working towards, in close collaboration with all our stakeholders, in Reskill to Regenerate. It is a message, a project, a purpose that focuses on people and the planet, and aims to promote continuous learning to mitigate skills obsolescence caused by technological progress. Reskill to Regenerate offers us a future in which leading companies will not only reduce and mitigate their negative impact, but also regenerate our planet through their business activity.

«With many challenges still ahead of us, we’re kicking off the new academic year with enthusiasm».

Dr. Jordi Díaz, Dean EADA Business School
